Well, the vanilla scented candle was a good idea but in the end, it failed. We have disrupted the flow here and moved to a hotel. We have only been here for about a 1/2-an-hour and it has been worth every costly penny. There are still barking dogs but there are no repulsive odors (yet) and the bed seems to be about 50 years newer than the last one. We don't have a kitchen, but to be honest, for now we're happy to not have the inherent worry that comes with what seems to be the typical Ukrainian kitchen. So instead we ate cheese (something like Velveta - which I do not even like) that we brought with us from the apartment and crackers for dinner and topped it off with some cookies. No ice cream for Richard tonight :(..........
Nastya is still in the infirmary. It's nothing serious (so they say) but we are still limited to visiting in the one room that she is staying in. Other families have seen the children put on performances of various types and we would love to be able to see something like that! Regardless, Nastya seems content to just have us there.
We got word today that our little guy misses us. This definitely got to me. I pray someone has explained to him why we are not there. We did not receive word of our court date for him yet but we're still hopeful for Friday.
We're watching a little Ukrainian TV and I plan to get a good night's sleep without pharma help!!
Survived another day.....praise God!
